How can we help?

Every feature, explained. 69 answers, and the Discord is always there if yours isn’t.

Getting started

Make your page and get it live.

A link-in-bio page that feels like you. One link (yen.bio/you) with your links, music, live Discord status, badges and a style nobody else has. It’s free; Premium and a few extras are optional.

Sign up, pick your @, and the editor opens. Work through it top to bottom:

  1. 1Your info → Name, bio & picture: who you are.
  2. 2Your info → Your links: the buttons people tap.
  3. 3Your look → Pick a look: one tap gives you a complete style.
  4. 4Publish: nothing goes live until you press it.

The editor saves a draft. Your page only changes when you press Publish. A Publish button appears on every step whenever you have unpublished changes, and you get a warning if you try to leave without publishing.

Open Publish and tap “QR code for your page”. Pick Classic, Inverted or your accent color, switch to your custom domain if you have one, and download it as PNG or SVG.

Yes, everything you need is free. Premium is optional: it removes ads from your page, adds the Premium badge and gives you more aliases. See Shop, Premium & payments.

Design & layouts

Layouts, colors, fonts, backgrounds and cards.

Nine: Identity (glass card), After Dark (3D tilt and holographic foil), Spotlight (stage light and huge type), Bento (tiles), Editorial (a magazine cover), Terminal (a CRT boot sequence), Desktop 98 (your own little operating system), Old Web (Top 8 energy, hit counter included) and Panel (a wide outlined card with side-by-side widgets). Switch any time in Your look → Page layout; your content stays.

“Pick a look” applies a complete style in one tap: layout, colors, fonts and effects together. “Page layout” only changes how things are arranged and keeps your colors.

Your look → Colors & fonts. You can also upload your own font (woff2, woff, ttf or otf) and use it for the whole page or just your name; it applies everywhere on the page, including tooltips and popups.

Yes, with a day palette in Your look → Colors & fonts. It can follow the visitor’s light/dark setting, or switch during the day by their own local time (you pick the hours). Preview it by adding ?theme=day to your link.

A color, gradient, image, GIF or video, with blur, brightness and parallax. For videos you can keep them paused until the visitor taps in (when the click-to-enter screen is on). Animated GIFs can be up to 15MB, other images up to 5MB.

Your look → Colors & fonts → Cards & surfaces: Glass (see-through and blurred), Solid, or Outline (just a border), with opacity, blur, radius and shadow. After Dark and Panel tilt toward the mouse; turn that off with “Disable 3D tilt” in Your look → Fine tune. Tilt never runs on touch screens or for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

Pick any icon and color for each link when you add or edit it. In Your look → Fine tune you can switch icon-only links to glowing bare icons (with a glow slider) and change their size.

Your info → Name, bio & picture. When you upload, drag and zoom to frame it before saving (GIFs upload as they are, so they keep moving). Shape, size, border and glow are in Your look → Fine tune.

An ornament around your picture: halo, crown, cat ears, neon, rainbow, fire or glitch rings, orbiting stars, hearts or petals. Or choose “My Discord” to mirror the decoration you have equipped on Discord, or upload your own transparent PNG, GIF or WebP. Find it in Your info → Name, bio & picture.

Yes, in Your look → Fine tune. It only ever affects your own page and is cleaned for safety. Icon rows can be targeted with .yen-icon-row and each icon with .yen-icon-link.

On the Publish step, press “Reset design to default”. The look goes back to a brand-new page’s (layout, colors, fonts, effects, background and so on) while your name, bio, links, picture and music stay. Reload the editor before publishing to undo it.

Effects & motion

Name effects, cursors, backgrounds and the entry screen.

In Extras → Effects: glow, neon, shimmer, chrome, holo, fire, gradient, rainbow, glitch, cyber, flicker, static, wave, sparkles, aurora, outline, chromatic, pulse and typewriter, on your name or bio, with strength and speed. @mentions in your bio show as links when the bio has no effect.

Extras → Effects: particles, stars, snow, rain, fireflies, matrix, aurora, nebula and grid, in your color and intensity.

Extras → Effects → Cursor effect: glow, trail, ring, sparkles, bubbles, hearts, fireflies or ripples. You can also upload your own cursor (.cur, .ico, .png or animated .ani).

Click effects (ripple, confetti, hearts or sparks), a spotlight that follows the cursor, avatar motion (float, pulse or sway), scrollbar styles and accent-colored text selection. Everything turns itself off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

An optional splash before your page (Extras → Click-to-enter screen). It lets music and video start with sound. Choose a frosted, solid, gradient or image background, the message and its animation, your avatar’s shape and size (or hide it), and the exit animation. In Desktop 98 it’s a full retro boot with a log-on box.

Links & blocks

Links, Discord, Spotify, wallets, guestbooks and more.

Yes. Every block has optional “Show from” and “Hide after” times, perfect for launches and sales. Outside that window it’s hidden from your page (you still see it in the editor, marked Scheduled or Expired).

Add the Discord block (Discord RPC) with your Discord user ID: in Discord, turn on Developer Mode, then right-click your name and Copy User ID. Live status works for members of the Lanyard Discord server (the service that powers it), so join it with the same account. It shows your status, custom status, what you’re playing and listening to, “last seen” while offline, and your Discord server tag if you have one (click it to see the server).

Use the Discord block in “Live Spotify” mode. It shows only the song, with a progress bar, a softly moving backdrop from the cover art and, if you leave “Show lyrics” on, the current line of the lyrics. Your Spotify needs to be connected to Discord.

Yes, with the Spotify and YouTube blocks: paste a link to a track, album, playlist or video.

Add a Discord server block with an invite link. It shows the icon, name, online and member counts and a Join button. Use a permanent invite (Expire after: Never) or the card stops working when it expires.

Add the Telegram block with your t.me link. It shows the picture, name, description and subscriber or member count, with a Join button. It must be public.

Add the Roblox block (game controller button) with your username or profile link. It shows your avatar, name, friends and followers.

Add the wallet block, pick Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin or Solana and paste your public receiving address. As a Card it shows the live balance and dollar value; as a Button it copies the address when tapped. Never paste a seed phrase or private key.

Add a Guestbook block and visitors can leave short messages. You can close signing (keeping the entries), approve messages before they show, and delete any entry while signed in.

Type @theirname. If they’re a real yen.bio account, it becomes a small link with their picture.

Yes: Your info → Extra sections adds longer content blocks below your card, with text, images and several layouts.

Music

Songs, players, visualizers and lyrics.

Extras → Music. Upload an MP3 (the title, artist and cover art are read from the file) or paste a direct audio link. It starts when a visitor taps into your page, since browsers block sound before that.

Pick the player style, a visualizer (bars, wave, spectrum, orb or pulse) and its colors. Put the player in a corner, or “Inside the card” on Identity, After Dark and Panel. Or switch Controls to “Mute button only”.

Paste synced LRC lyrics in Extras → Music and they scroll in time with the song.

Badges & leaderboard

Getting, styling and showing off badges.

Some are earned (Premium, Staff, OG, Verified), some are given by staff for events and achievements, and two can be bought in the Shop: the Donator badge and a Custom badge you design yourself.

Your info → Name, bio & picture → Badges. Use the arrows to reorder, the switch to hide, and the color swatch to recolor (the artwork itself changes color, not just its glow; Reset puts it back). The Chip style draws every badge as one flat color. You can also change the size and the background behind the row.

Buy one in the Shop, then design it there: a name, an icon from the library and a color. Names can’t copy official badges (Staff, Verified, Premium and so on) or another person’s badge, and checkmark icons are reserved. Edit it whenever you like.

Verified means staff confirmed an account really belongs to the person or brand it claims to be. It can’t be bought. Ask in our Discord if you think you qualify.

yen.bio/leaderboard ranks the 50 most viewed pages. Your own visits never count, repeat visits from the same person are limited, and bots are filtered out. Verified accounts get their checkmark, and some special badges (like Donator) show next to names.

Templates

Using and sharing looks.

Only the look: layout, colors, fonts, effects, background and so on. Your name, bio, links, picture and music are never touched. Files the template uses are copied to your account, so it keeps working even if the creator deletes theirs.

In Templates, turn your published design into a template. Keep it unlisted (only people with the link can see it) or public in the gallery, with up to 3 tags. Template links show a rich preview in Discord.

Use Report on the template’s page. Templates reported by several people are hidden until staff review them.

Shop, Premium & payments

What you can buy and how paying in crypto works.

No ads anywhere on your page, the Premium badge, and up to 5 aliases while it lasts. Buy 30 days or a year; buying again adds to the time you have. It never renews by itself.

Alias slots (1, 3 or 10 extra @s), the Donator badge, a Custom badge you design, and Extra account vouchers.

Pick an item and a coin, and you get a checkout with a QR code, an exact amount and an address.

  1. 1Send exactly the amount shown, on that network, from a wallet you control.
  2. 2Paste the transaction id (or its explorer link) on the checkout page.
  3. 3Once it confirms (usually a minute or two; Bitcoin around ten), what you bought is added automatically.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana and Dogecoin, whichever are switched on. Ethereum means plain ETH on mainnet, not tokens or other networks.

Every checkout has its own exact amount, which is how we know a payment is yours without ever holding your money. Exchanges often take their fee out of what you send, so the amount won’t match; send from your own wallet.

Paste the transaction anyway. A checkout with a payment that doesn’t fit is flagged for staff, who can see every transaction on it and sort it out by hand. Contact us in Discord with the checkout link.

Crypto payments can’t be reversed, so purchases are final, except where the law says otherwise.

Market & selling

Buying and selling usernames and templates.

Pick a name on the Market and a coin. It’s held for you while you pay, so nobody can buy it out from under you. You send two payments: 80% to the seller, 20% to yen.bio. When both confirm, the name moves to your account as an alias; make it your main @ any time from Settings → Aliases.

Add a payout wallet in Settings, then go to Selling in your dashboard and list one of your aliases with a price. While it’s listed it keeps pointing at your page and can’t be removed. You can change the price or take it down unless someone is mid-checkout.

Not directly, since your page needs a name. Make another alias your main one first (Settings → Aliases → Make main); your old main becomes an alias you can list.

yen.bio keeps 20% of each sale. The other 80% is paid by the buyer straight to your wallet, so there’s nothing to withdraw. Any taxes on your sales are yours to handle.

Names can only change hands through the Market. A name you remove or stop using stays reserved for you for 7 days, so it can’t be handed to someone the moment it’s free.

Account, privacy & security

Your account, sign-in, domains, stats and privacy.

Each person gets one account. For a second page (a brand or side project), buy an Extra account voucher in the Shop and enter it on the sign-up page. If you share a computer with someone who also wants an account, contact us.

You get one free username change in Settings. Aliases are extra @s that point at your page; swap which one is main any time. A name you give up stays reserved for you for 7 days.

Add a passkey (Touch ID, Windows Hello, your phone or a security key) in Settings → Security, and review the devices you’re signed in on. New passwords are checked against known data breaches, and repeated sign-in attempts are slowed down.

Change your email in Settings → Account identity (we confirm with your current address first). Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password” on the login page.

Yes. In Settings, enter your domain and add the DNS record it shows you. Your page then works on it exactly like on yen.bio, including the Discord preview.

Insights shows views, unique visitors, top links, countries, devices and where visits come from, for 7, 30 or 90 days. A weekly summary email arrives on Mondays (turn it off in Settings). Your view counter can be shown or hidden on your page.

No. Profile pages ask search engines not to list them. Sharing your link, and previews in Discord and other apps, work normally.

Free pages may show one small ad below the content. Premium pages never show ads.

Settings → Delete account: type DELETE, then confirm with the link we email you. Your page, links, badges and uploads are removed. You can’t delete an account while someone is paying you for a sale, or while it’s suspended.

Only what running the site needs. The Privacy Policy explains it in plain words: yen.bio/privacy.

Still stuck?

Ask in our Discord. Real people answer, usually fast. For a payment, include your checkout link.
