Compatibility table

Every design setting against all nine layouts: works, partly works, or isn’t used.

Each layout draws your page its own way, so some settings simply have nothing to change on some layouts. A setting a layout doesn’t use is kept, not lost: it comes back if you switch to a layout that uses it.
