Profile picture

Uploading and cropping your picture, its shape, size, border and glow, and decorations.

Where: Your info → Name, bio & picture · Your look → Fine tune → Profile image

Upload a picture in Your info → Name, bio & picture (drag and zoom to crop it), or paste an image link. GIFs are uploaded as they are so they keep moving. Without one, your account picture is used (for Discord sign-ins, your Discord picture, refreshed every time you log in).

Shape

Circle, Rounded, Square, Squircle

Default: Circle

Squircle is the smooth iOS-style corner.

Works on: Identity, After Dark, Spotlight, Panel

Size

64–240px

Default: 144px

Panel shrinks it to fit on phones.

Works on: Identity, Spotlight · partly Panel

Border

0–12px

Default: 3px

A ring around the picture.

Works on: Identity, Spotlight

Glow

0–100%

Default: 35%

An Accent-colored glow behind the picture. On Identity it also brightens the light at the top of the card.

Works on: Identity, After Dark, Spotlight, Bento

Hide on splash screen

On / Off

Default: Off

Hides your picture on the click-to-enter screen. Same setting as in Extras → Click-to-enter screen.

Works on: Every layout

Avatar decorations

An ornament around your picture: Halo, Crown, Cat ears, Neon ring, Rainbow ring, Fire ring, Glitch ring, Orbiting stars, Floating hearts or Petals (the rings use your accent colors). Or:

  • My Discord: shows the decoration you have equipped on Discord and follows when you change it. Enter your Discord user ID, and join the Lanyard Discord server with that account (the same setup as the Discord status card). Nothing shows if you have none equipped.
  • Upload: a square, transparent PNG, GIF or WebP. It’s drawn 10% past every edge of your picture, so keep the middle empty.

Avatar motion

In Extras → Effects → Interaction: Still, Float, Pulse or Sway.
