Publishing and drafts

Why changes don’t show until you publish, and how to undo or reset.

Where: Editor → Publish

The editor works on a draft. Your public page only changes when you press Publish (on the Publish step, or the Publish bar that appears at the bottom of every panel once you’ve changed something).

  • If you try to leave the editor with unpublished changes, your browser asks you to confirm.
  • Undo everything since your last publish: reload the editor without publishing. The draft is thrown away.
  • Links are the exception: adding, editing or deleting a link in Your links is saved straight away.

Reset design to default

On the Publish step, Reset design to default puts the look back to a brand-new page’s: the Identity layout, a plain dark background and the default colors, fonts, card, effects, cursor, music player style and entry screen. Your custom CSS is cleared too.

It keeps: your name, bio, pronouns and location, links, picture, alternate bio lines, extra sections, element order and hidden items, badge order, colors and hidden badges, dragged positions, page title, favicon, the yen.bio badge setting, your song, its cover and lyrics, and the line under your entry screen message.
