Dashboard themes
Make your own dashboard theme (colours, wallpaper, a dock or a desktop of apps), wear one from the gallery, or list yours for free or for a price.
Where: Dashboard → Themes · Settings → Appearance
A dashboard theme changes the place you use yen.bio from, not your public page. Only you see the theme you wear. Open Themes from the sidebar (or Settings → Appearance → open themes) to make one, try one on, or wear one from the gallery.
- 1Press make a theme. The studio opens and the dashboard around you becomes the preview: every change shows as you make it.
- 2Pick a layout (sidebar, dock or desktop), your colours, a wallpaper and the type.
- 3Optional: rename tabs and pick their icons, fill the slots, add CSS extras.
- 4Got a theme file (a
.jsonsomeone shared)? Press open a theme file in the studio and it fills everything in. - 5Press save and wear. To share it, press list: link only, or in the gallery, free or with a price.
Layouts (chrome)
| Layout | What you get | On a phone |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar | The usual list down the side, in your colours. Side: left or right. | The usual menu. |
| Floating | The same sidebar, lifted off the edge as a glassy card over your wallpaper. Side: left or right. | The usual menu. |
| Icon rail | A slim strip of app tiles, grouped, with names on hover. Search and settings at the foot. Side: left or right. | The usual menu. |
| Top bar | A menu bar across the top: one menu per group (your people, your page, play, the store, your account), each opening its apps in a grid. | The usual menu. |
| Dock | A dock of app tiles. Edge: bottom, left or right. Icons: a folder per group (each opens its apps in a grid) or every tab. Size: small, medium, large. Names: on hover or always. | The usual menu. |
| Desktop | Every tab is an app icon on your wallpaper; the tab you open is a window. Icons: small, medium, large, in one to three columns. Title bar: soft (with window dots), classic (a bar in your accent) or plain. Taskbar: bottom or top, with search, settings, the listen chip and a clock. | The usual menu, so every tab stays easy to tap. |

- No
@import, and links only tohttps://pictures ordata:image. !importantis removed,z-indexis capped at 40, and anythingposition: fixedmust also bepointer-events: none(decoration, not a fake button).- Rules for
:root, htmlorbodyare dropped: a theme styles the dashboard, not the sign-in, your public page, or the rest of the site. - yen’s own search, settings, your account menu and sign-out, the phone header, the dock’s and taskbar’s buttons, and call controls always keep their own size, place and visibility, whatever the CSS says.
- No JavaScript, anywhere. Themes are data: colours, a picture, some text, some CSS.
Worked example: Desk
The official Desk theme in the gallery is a desktop-of-apps theme made only with the settings above, no CSS: try it on, then press make a theme to build your own the same way.

Sharing and selling
- Link only: anyone with the link can try it on and wear it.
- In the gallery: listed for everyone under Themes, free or with a price. Prices work like paid templates: the buyer pays you directly in crypto, and you need a payout wallet in Settings first.
- Wearing a theme gives you your own copy: it keeps working if the author edits, unlists or deletes it (wear it again to get their latest).
- Themes can be reported. Three reports hide one until staff look at it.
How do I go back to a normal colour?
Pick any colour in Settings → Appearance, or press take my theme off under Themes.
Do other people see my dashboard theme?
No. It’s your dashboard. Your public page has its own look in Customize.
